Emmanuel

Some people say Emmanuel,
Christ Jesus is his name
He's the Lord above who live or die
But He die not for his fame
He is Savior,
A prince of peace on earth
He is our Savior,
A messiah with a peasant's birth
Jesus was a carpenter
And He worked his hands in wood
And He lived the perfect will of God
That is why we should
See What God's done
A God has come a man
He is God's son
A stranger in a strange land
Jesus came to give us life
For God said He must die
And He suffered every mortal sin
And it tortured God's own eyes
He is Savior,
Born of virgin birth
He is our Savior,
Jesus will return to earth
Addey

Addey's a cat, she's a fool, she's a star, she's a queen
She lives in a trap down on third, never heard, never seen
She's desperate for a way to get out
But she don't know what out means
Ah, Addey, don't you be so afraid,
It's not as bad as it seems
She walks cross the floor, toward the door,
To stairs, to the street
She calls up a cab for downtown
There's a man she must meet
Ah, the thought that she has to go through
Makes her cry to be free
Oh Addey, wipe those tears form your eyes
You wouldn't want him to see
She puts on your face with a smile
As she walks through the door
She thinks of her folks, and her home
And what she came there for
Ah, she tells the man that after this time
She won't be back for more
But he says ; Huh, Addey don't you be a fool
You've said the same thing, time and time before
She runs down the street,
In the heat, down past Nowhere café
She drops to her knees neath a tree
But she don't know how to pray
Oh Addey, there's not life in that rig
Why don't you pack it away
Trust in God for a new kind of life
Honey, He won't lead you astray
Addey's a cat, she's a fool, she's a star, she's a queen
She lives in a trap down on third, never heard, never seen
She's desperate for a way to get out
But she don't know what out means
Ah, Addey, don't you be so afraid,
It's not as bad as it seems
Only The Meek Survive
This Time Thru - © 1978
With all your pomp and all your glory
Still there's really no surprise
When it comes down to the end
Only the meek survive
You say that God is a God of goodness
He only helps those who help themselves
You see I found God, he helps the helpless
And leave all the rest to help themselves
You say you grit your teeth
And you ground out goodness ton by ton
But you find your gold in the fire
The meek and the poor will find the Son
You told me God is patriotic
You said he's best friend with uncle Sam
But I know that road it leads to heartache
Sam's lost the faith that cause him to stand
Ah, you say, you'll pull yourself
By your bootstraps, that's just fine
But, when it comes right down to the end
Only the meek survive
When it comes right down to the end
Only the meek survive
Too far, too long

The plans you made have ended
You've taken on the (new ?)
But I'll be there to love you
To help you make your move
And you're gone, gone, gone
Gone, gone, gone
Too far, too long
Bridges burned behind you
Got no place to stay
My Spirit will reminds you
Change you day by day
Gone, gone, gone
Gone, gone, gone
Too far, too long
As we watch all the people as the go by
Run the race that makes them slow
Their hands are growing red by the fire
It seems to make them cold
( ? ) no more your master
Related the time and space
If life is was you're after
( Feel you so in grace ? )
Gone, gone, gone
Gone, gone, gone
Too far, too long
Alleyways Of Strife
This Time Thru - © 1978
Do you follow your feelings
Down to alleyways of strife
But how you found the ( ? )
Have become a way of life
Are you really been so anxious
To see the depths of hell
Tell me what left of your happiness
Is there anything left to tell
So sing praise
Jesus Christ says he's gonna raise
The dead indeed
So sing praise
Jesus Christ says he's gonna raise
The dead indeed
All you people of experience
See my tears are with you
But how terrible the wrath of God
For those who rejected the truth
I remembered all my searches saying :
«seek ye shall find»
Have not accept Jesus
I would have been left behind
So sing praise
Jesus Christ says he's gonna raise
The dead indeed
So sing praise
Jesus Christ says he's gonna raise
The dead indeed
Don't you be as a deafened man
Who says he has not heard
Cause your conscience chokes on my witness
Cause I'm signing you God's word
Sleeper
This Time Thru - © 1978
Sleeper arise from the dead
You're wasting your life in the bed
The world is weeping
You're still sleeping
Somehow it's just isn't right
To sleep day and night
It's a sleep paradise à la mode
When you wake up, you'll explode
The world is screamin'
You're still dreamin'
Somehow it's seems like a crime
Sleep all the time
Got to get up, got to get out, better wake up
Got to get up, got to get out, better wake up
( It's like night clothes ? ) in your room
Yet the master is coming back soon
And he'll be screaming
You're still sleeping
Tell me sleeper don't lie
What's your alibi
Wayfaring Stranger
This Time Thru - © 1978
I'm just a poor wayfaring stranger
Travelin' through this world below
Lord, I swear there's no pain
I know there's no danger
In that bright world
To which I go
I want to see thee,
The salvation story
In concert with that blood washed band
Lord, I want to wear
That crowned of glory
I get hung to that good land
I'm just a poor wayfaring stranger
Travelin' through this world below
Lord, I swear there's no pain
I know there's no danger
In that bright world
To which I go
In The Days Of Thy Youth

Chase The Wind
This Time Thru - © 1978
They made you your own creator
And gave to you a pot of gold
You found yourself
Caught in the mysteries
Cause on your own life it's cold
And the tears are running freely
You cry yourself to see the ( plan ? )
Will you spend all your lifetime
Trying to chase the wind
Been with you
Most of your lifetime
The smile you lost
Gave you no disgrace
Futile dreams of the great disaster
Hardships of the whole human race
Came at you
Right of the shadows
Broke your heart
( ? ) soul
Sinking fast
Drowning in the waters
Losing ground
Nothing left to hold
Spend your life
Cold and lonely donjon
Strenght your face another again
Will you spend all your lifetime
Trying to chase the wind
Live your life
Cold and lonely donjon
Strenght the face another again
Will you spend all your lifetime
Trying to chase the wind

Old man in a boxcar
Pilling it up to the corner, in the dark
Hanging, shooting up a wrinkled heart,
Stuffin' news up his shirt to keep him warm
He's waiting on a train
That's taking him nowhere
He's hoping that the grave is gonna set him free
Splitting off the pieces of a life, is it there over ?
Desolation station for eternity
Isn't it a bloody shame
Look around and wonder
Who in the world is to blame
There no time to waste time this time thru
Got not time for all the things we do
Everyone is running down the highway
No one looks around enough to see
None is getting where they want to be
